Speaker(s) Bio:

Megan Galmiche, MSW, LMSW, is an Accreditation Manager with the University of Missouri–St. Louis | Missouri Institute of Mental Health (UMSL | MIMH), Professional Training Center. She oversees continuing education (CE) accreditation for more than 75 trainings annually across ASWB, NBCC, NAADAC, and other national boards, with an accreditation portfolio that includes ethics, suicide prevention, substance use disorders, cultural competency, and clinical practice areas such as trauma and behavioral health disorders. In addition to regulatory compliance and licensure alignment, she develops and delivers CE curriculum on behavioral health topics including digital health and AI ethics, helping behavioral-health professionals responsibly integrate emerging technology into practice. Her work bridges innovation, ethics, and equity to ensure high-quality continuing education that supports both practitioner competence and client protection.

 

Kayla Bunch, BA, (MEd Candidate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling), is a Program and Project Coordinator with the University of Missouri–St. Louis | Missouri Institute of Mental Health (UMSL | MIMH), Professional Training Center. Kayla has experience in the coordination of nationwide continuing education initiatives for behavioral health professionals. She contributes to program development that integrates trauma-informed, ethical, and multicultural perspectives. She is committed to promoting high-quality, evidence-based education that supports the professional growth of clinicians and social workers. She coordinates logistics with speakers and training partners, assists with course organization and implementation, and helps ensure a streamlined learner experience within the Canvas LMS. Kayla also contributes to content development for self-paced CE courses by assisting with instructional structure, learning flow, and learner engagement strategies.

Description: This course explores the integration of digital health tools and artificial intelligence (AI) in behavioral health practice. Participants will learn about telehealth, mobile apps, AI-powered chatbots, predictive analytics, and electronic health records (EHRs), including ethical considerations, equity issues, and best practices. The course emphasizes human-centered care, compliance with professional ethics, and the impact of technology on licensure requirements.

Course Completion Requirements:

1.    Complete all reading-based instructional modules in the course.

2.    Pass the 25-question posttest with a minimum score of 20/25 (80%).

3.    Submit the online course evaluation.

4.    Upon completion of the evaluation, your CE certificate will automatically be available in your Canvas account under Dashboard → Completed Courses.

Certificate of Credit:

1.    To receive your CE certificate, you must first complete all instructional modules and pass the posttest with a minimum score of 20/25 (80%).

2.    After passing the posttest, the course evaluation module will unlock. Submit the evaluation to proceed.

3.    Once the evaluation is submitted, the certificate module will unlock. Click on the certificate module to finalize completion.

4.    Your CE certificate will then be available in your Canvas account. To download your certificate, go to your Canvas Dashboard → Completed Courses → select the course → download your certificate.

5.    Please save your certificate of credit and any related course materials (e.g., flyer, brochure, program, schedule, agenda) for your records.

6.    UMSL | MIMH Professional Training Center will maintain documentation of your participation and issued certificate for seven (7) years from the program start date.
